After my last post on the benefit skincare that I am (still) obsessed with, I thought I would tell you about a few of my favourite products that I use.
Tangle Teezer-
An absolute life saver. If you have very curly, borderline afro hair like me, and you are not using one,I salute you.(seriously imagine me doing a little hunger games salute thing.) My tangle teaser is the only way that I am able to dislodge missing clips, shrubbery and other things long lost in the depths of my curls, and can I add (relatively) painlessly. You need to buy this.
Witch Blemish Stick-
I'm prone to the occasional angry spot (sigh) and this product really works for me. Admittedly, the size of it makes it a bit hard to apply (if you are applying it like a lipgloss, but er, not to your lips) but other than that I love it. Cheap and cheerful. (like me...wait, that sounded wrong, can I take that back?)
Mac In Extreme dimension 3D back lash mascara-
If you, like me, have stubborn eyelashes that refuse to curl,(or do anything for that matter, other than orbit your eye for days causing it to swell up and cry at inappropriate times), then worry no more; this mascara is amazing. It makes my eyelashes not only look a lot thicker with very few coats, but makes them appear longer and curlier. (in a good way, not like curly eyelashes, that would be weird.) It didn't clump or flake off in little bits around my eye. However, it is a bit more than I would usually spend on mascara, £19 (that's like 5 meals at McDonalds) but I think it is worth it.
Miss Manga Mega Volume Mascara (L'oreal)-
Another great mascara, for eyelashes like mine. Instead of making them appear thicker, this mascara is great for defining lashes and making them appear longer. What's even better is the affordable price of £8.99 (yay more money for food).
Benefit Magic Ink Jet Black Liquid Eyeliner-
Again, one of the more expensive products, but I have tried loads of different brands of liquid eyeliner (you remember that stage of wearing, what you thought was equal, winged eyeliner everyday, right?) and this is probably the best. At £15.50 it does as expected, and more; easy application, no clumps or suspicious lumps, it is easy to remove and has a very thin brush, thing.
A few other essentials I love:
Carmex (only £2 at Primark!)
Soap and Glory Hand Food
Rimmel Fix and Perfect Primer
I have also recently ordered a new skincare product for myself to try, Dermalogica Clear Start Breakout Overnight Treatment, and I will keep you up to date with how it does.
Hope these little beauty/skincare things I'm doing are useful!
